Mineralised clefts in conglomerate gneiss on the steep northeast slope.

In particular a system of five clefts (two of which containing euclase) has been discovered at an elevation of ca. 2580 m at the contact between calcite marble and granatiferous muscovite gneiss. Rocks in the area are strongly brecciated, albitised and hydrothermalised. The two euclase-bearing clefts yielded more than 1,200 euclase crystals, about 85% of which were found loose in the sand filling of the clefts; about two thirds of the euclase crystals are less than 2 mm in size and among all recovered crystals only 36 (less than 3%) attain the centimetre-size.
