Thatchersville is the name of a defunct mill village on the Pequonnock River where it was first dammed in 1828 to form Bunnell's Pond. Stilbite and babingtonite reportedly occur in gneiss there (Dana, 1855), though Dana's System of Mineralogy 1875, mentions only stilbite.
