This locality is a quarry opened to supply stone for the construction of the Kensico Dam. The quarry is about 1 mile East of the dam. Host rock is pink-gneissoid granite (Yonkers gneiss). Mineralization is found in more or less definite dikes and irregular masses differing from the rock.
