Andersen (1931) places "Lauvland 1" 1,5 km SE of the farm in the south. By 1927 950 tons of feldspar had been mined here.

He coined the name Skavdalen for this locality, but is now used in a broader sense for four quarries and one prospect that are located very close to each other.

Later, three more quarries and one prospect were opened close to Lauvland 1.

Lauvland 1 is with near 100% certainty NOT the classic chrysoberyl locality.

A study of the parageneses of the quarries, an aerial picture from 1972 at kart.1881.no and of the altitude map at hoydedata.no led to the conclusion that Stensrud's (2009) Lauvland 7 quarry is actually Andersen's (1931) Lauvland 1 (Skavdalen) quarry.

Stensrud's Lauvland 1 is actually Frigstad's Lauvland 5.
