Sn-Ag-Zn deposit mined in the early 20th century. Mostly now covered up by tailings from the neighboring Huanuni tin mine.

There were hardly any discrete silver minerals at the Porvenir mine. Most of the silver was contained in sulphosalts like the franckeite, cylindrite, boulangerite, jamesonite, which each held around 0.5% Ag, sometimes as much as 1%.
