Schumacher describe "allochroite" from an old iron mine; "Virum Eisengrube" near Drammen, in 1801.

Description: The specimen identified as zussmanite was found during construction of the E134 road, close to the Narverud mines, and only as a loose rock of Drammensgranite (a biotite granite).
NOTE: The identification made at the Bulgarian Academy of Science in Sofia, is highly questionable, several analysis made there on norwegian material has showed by newer analysis to be erronously. Thus the identification as zusmannite needs to be confirmed (K.E.Larsen commentary 2011)
