Large-scale porphyry Mo-(W-Sn-Bi) deposit, consisting of veins, veinlets and disseminations in fine-grained Lanjiagou prophyritic granite (154.06 Ma, K-Ar) that intruded the coarse-grained Hongluoshan granite complex (K-Ar isotopic ages of 178-186 Ma). The molybdenum mineralization is associated with a manganese carbonate mineralization.


Note: Not to be confused with the Lanjiagou manganese deposit of Chaoyang Prefecture. While both deposits have manganese mineralization, the deposit at Chaoyang has manganese oxides rather than carbonates and is of a different genetic type.
