Description: Sadashivajah, M.S., and Naganna, C. (1964) published the amphibole from Jothvad Hill as winchite. Their analysis show some anomalies, as Ʃ(Si+Al) < 8, ƩC position<5 and ƩA position >1. Based on a high Ca content it is likely that the amphibole analysed by Sathe et. al (1965) belongs to the Calcium Amphibole Subgroup.

Description: Sathe et. al (1965) published the amphibole from the Goldongri mine as winchite. Their analysis show some anomalies, as Ʃ(Si+Al) < 8, ƩC position<5 and ƩA position >1. Based on a moderate Ca content and a high Na content it is likely that the amphibole analysed by Sathe et. al (1965) belongs to the Sodium-Calcium Amphibole Subgroup.
