Type locality for "brickerite" (now austinite). The austinite and mimetite are hydrothermal vein deposit here, not secondary oxide-zone minerals! Presently operated as quarry for decorative "travertine" (colorful banded massive calcite).
Minor lead deposit, mostly in the unusual form of primary hydrothermal mimetite.
