This roadcut was a product of a recent expansion done on I-83. It was located on the northbound side near Jacobus, and south of York. Construction exposed a layer of shale containing relatively abundant cubic to somewhat elongated cubic pyrite crystals. Crystals altering to limonite could also be found. Construction was completed in early 2006, and the site is now covered up.

Description: Good crystals to be found up to 1 inch on edge of cubic/elongated cubic habit. Rarely, twinned/penetrating crystals could be found.
