A quartz mine located about 10 miles West of Blue Springs, off Highway 298. Started 1890 and closed 1910. Reopened 1922 and closed 1942. Active again 1976 to present by Jim and Teri Coleman. Mineralization is quartz veins in Blakely Sandstone. Workings feature a large open cut and some underground workings.

Permit to dig can be obtained by stopping at the Coleman Rock Shop on highway 7, then drive eight miles W on highway 298 from highway 7, and up three gravel roads to reach it, the last half mile being very washboardy and washed out some.
