Skarn worked for magnetite.

It is the most important mine in the area (400 meters deep, 10 galleries) and the last to close (1978).

Like the other mines in the area, this is a skarn consisting mainly of magnetite with a thickness of the mineralized layer of over 10 meters.

The detailed study of the mineralization thanks to the mining operation has allowed determining the temporal evolution of its genesis presenting the three classic phases of skarns:

- Silicated phase (Andradite-Hedenbergite) above 500°C
- Ferriferous phase (Hornblende-Magnetite) below 500°C
- Sulphurated phase (Pyrrhotite-Löllingite-Pyrite-Chalcopyrite) at about 300°C.

It has also been determined that a large amount of the iron present in these mineralizations is motivated by processes of assimilation of metamorphic rocks rich in iron oxides by eruptive rocks.

The mine has provided large amounts of two uncommon minerals, Löllingite and Vonsenite, and has become a classic Spanish site of mineralogy.

To access the mine one has to request leave in the village of Burguillos del Cerro.
