Altered Toongi intrusive trachyte (of Jurassic age) containing highly elevated levels of the metals zirconium, hafnium, niobium, tantalum, yttrium and rare earth elements (most notably dysprosium).
Ore minerals are very fine grained (20-100 μm).
The trachyte is mined by sulphuric acid leaching.
Located 25km South of Dubbo. [Note: Dubbo is located in Gordon Co., where the mines listed under this district are in Lincoln Co.]
The proposed mine area is approximately 10 Sq kms.
