Cobalt No. 1
A former Au-Ag-U-Ni-Zn-Pb-W occurrence/mine located in the NW¼NE¼ & in the NW¼ sec. 16, T30S, R14W, SLM, 4.6 km (2.9 miles) NW of Blue Mountain (coordinates of record) (2 miles ESE of Iron Mountain), on state lease land. Owned & operated by Rolo Peterson. MRDS database stated accuracy for this location is 100 meters.
Mineralization is a replacement deposit. The ore body is tabular, strikes N25E and dips 25SE at a thickness of 4.57 meters, width of 15.24 meters, and a length of 152.4 meters, depth-to-bottom of 30.48 meters and a depth-to-top of 1.52 meters. Local rocks include Upper Cambrian carbonate rocks in western Utah.
Workings include unspecified underground openings with an overall depth of 30.48 meters.
