A placer gold mine located near Kupka & several hours drive from Omsukchan. A recently established placer gold mine in deposits eroded from quartz-calcite veins in Triassic mudstone and siltstone. Mining is by opencut methods with bulldozers. Ore grades reportedly at 1.75 g/cu m (0.043 oz/cu yd.) Nuggets found to 30 grams (1 oz).
