Baryte-fluorite hydrothermal mineralisation in Mesozoic limestone layers.

This locality is famous for the very beautiful fluorite specimens (cubic crystals up to 12 cm across), which contain fluid inclusions. It is located on the top of a hill (named Poggio Balate) next to Termini Imerese town and at the NW foot of San Calogero Mount.
