An active (2011 May) quarry operated since 1985, 8 km East of Saint Joseph de Beauce center on Route Calway. It is in a volcanic rock, basalt and brecciated basalt of the Caldwell formation. It has alpine type(?) veins exposed with quartz, calcite and albite. Also quartz veins with sulfides and some secondaries.
