Pyroaurite ?
Formula: Mg6Fe3+2(OH)16[CO3] · 4H2O
Description: Yellow powdery coatings on fracture surfaces of chromite/serpentine ore in small ore stockpile. XRD is consistent with both pyroaurite and sjögrenite. Could be a mixture of the two, but the poor quality of the diffraction pattern has hampered a more exact determination. It also contains a poorly crystallised serpentine group mineral. XRF confirms a mixture of serpentine plus pyroaurite/sjögrenite.
