The Magcobar Mine (Magnet Cove Barium Corp.), was on the north flank of the Chamberlain Creek Syncline containing barite deposits (the Baroid Mine, operated by National Lead, was on the south side). The barite is a stratiform deposit at the base of the Stanley Shale.
