A Cu occurrence/prospect with surface workings located in sec. 25, T13S, R11E, on National Park property.
Mineralization is a skarn deposit with a pod-shaped ore body 2 meters long, hosted in arkose. Hornfels locally contains some epidote. Epidote-calcite skarn with minor chalcopyrite partly altered to malachite and Cu silicate. The pit was started in a 1-2 meter long skarn pod, and intersects similar skarn layers at about a meters depth, near the bottom of the pit. An associated rock unit is quartz monzonite.
