Poniky district consist of few different types of mineralizations. Drienok and Stráž represents hydrothermal base-metal deposits. Farbiste represents Cu deposit. Fe deposits are situated near to Holy vrch hill(the biggest one with nice Specularites), Zlaty diel, Čierny diel, Bane, Jelšiny and under Učovník in Ponická Huta as well as few more smaller ones.
