Universal Grid Reference: PQ 269 866

Located approximately 3 kilometres south of the Bellbird Mine. The Holmes Prospect is 300 yards north of the northern most deposit at Wards. The Van Gils Prospect is at the eastern end of the lode. Wards is a scheelite-copper anomaly.

The prospect outcrops at the surface with magnetite-chlorite-quartz, banded iron formation, and malachite stained rocks, trending east-west. At depth, quartz-sericite schist encloses banded iron formation, impure marble, quartzite-epidote beds, amphibolite, and quartz-tourmaline rock.

The lode horizon is calc-silicate rock, biotite rich schist, and magnetite-quartzite-garnet schist, with apatite rich areas. The scheelite is associated with the carbonates and calc-silicate rocks.

200 yards north of Wards is another deposit covering a length of 150-200 feet, and 4 feet wide, containing two pits, with 0.5% WO3. 200 yards west of Wards is another deposit, 1000 feet long, containing a 2 foot wide zone grading at 1% WO3.
