Bjørlykke (1937) describes the Hulleknatten as a small pegmatite dike worked in search for beryl on the property of the Brenndalsmo farm in Gjerstad.

However, Hulleknatten cannot be found on any map, so the exact location is unknown.

On the altitude map a rather large quarry/mine can be seen at 58.90625°N 9.0092°Ø.

It is assumed that this quarry is on the property of another farm.
