Locality type:

Crystals up to 18cm in diameter. Averaging 2cm in Biotite schist, some of gem quality. Adjacent to this property at coordinates 46 39' 54" N; 80 10' 26" W is the Industrial Garnet Mine. It is likely that specimens from this property are labelled as coming from the River Valley Garnet Mine so I have put the two properties together into one locality. However there is only one pit on the property and the coordinates are for that pit.
