A small prospect pit just west of the lake near the top of a hill. Pit measures 12x15 feet and is 6 feet deep to the water level.
Exposes interbanded amphibolite and crystalline limestone cut by granite pegmatite. The limestone contains phlogopite but no graphite. Graphite is disseminated in the amphibolite as flakes to 1/8 inch in diameter.
