A rhodochrosite "Inca Rose" mine. Located near Capillitas. Vein average thickness of 50 cm and a total measured length of 106 m. The vein has two branches that strike and dip N10° W/N70° E and 75° E–75° W/70° S, respectively. Mine facilities along this vein consist of a 100 meters gallery, two inclines and a shaft. There are two dumps, one over the gallery level and other below it, formed from the droppings of the one above; most of this material is oxidized.

The local sphalerite is reported to represent "the richest In-Cu variety of sphalerite in the world" (Márquez-Zavalía et al. 2024). With 24.89 wt% In (and 13.49 wt% Cu) it is, astonishingly, still sphalerite.
