Geology: The rocks in the vicinity of the Belle prospect are part of the Jurassic and Cretaceous, Sitka Graywacke that consists mainly of graywacke and argillite. The location of the Belle prospect is shown on a map by Becker (1898) but it is not described in the text. The prospect was not found or noted by Bittenbender and others (1999) who worked in the area; the only other mention of it is that a claim was filed here for gold, silver, and copper (U.S. Bureau of Land Management, 2002). This may have been part of the nearby Apex (SI186) or Liberty prospects (SI188).
Workings: The only information on this prospect is that a claim was once filed here, probably before WWI.
Age: Jurassic or younger based on the age of the host rock.
