Geology: This occurrence consists of quartz veinlets in dolomite and limestone (Mulligan, 1974). Analysis of the veinlets show trace amounts of copper and zinc, but the only visible sulfide in freshly broken quartz was a small bleb of bornite. The rocks in the area are Proterozoic or lower Paleozoic(?), calcareous schist, and local marble (Dillon and others, 1986).
