Location: Coordinates are the approximate center of a block of more than 600 claims staked on southeastern Zarembo Island in the late 1970's and active through at least 1981 (U.S. Bureau of Mines, 1980). Locality 66 of Grybeck, Berg, and Karl (1984), who also include a map showing the outline of the claims as of the early 80's. Recent mapping by the USGS (Sue Karl, oral communication, 1998) indicates that much of this block of claims consists of Triassic Hyd Group rocks that host the volcanogenic massive sulfide deposits of the Duncan-Zarembo belt defined by Berg and Grybeck (1980), and Berg (1981).
Workings: Block of more than 600 claims staked in the late 1970's and active through at least 1981 (U.S. Bureau of Mines, 1980). The 1995, Alaska Department of Natural Resources Kardex claim data base shows that at least a few claims were still active.
