Two crystals of gadolinite-group minerals, collected in two different areas of the Bonomi quarry, have been analysed (Pezzotta et al., 1999). These subhedral crystals, hosted in K-feldspar and found in a small cavity together with siderophyllite, are grey-brown in colour and internally zoned, with a darker core containing abundant marcasite inclusions. Gadolinite-(Y) forms the peripheral zones of the crystals, but in the cores ΣREE prevails over Y and Nd is the dominant element.
