Name(s) in local language(s):
Kimi-aku
Gold-bearing mesothermal quartz-carbonate veins.
The Shotover River was previously called the Tummel River.
The source (Templeton) is relating to the Sealy Range, but provides a very basic map of other gold bearing mesothermal quartz-carbonate vein locations including the upper Shotover River. A number of gold mines occur in this area, for example the Skippers area, approximately 10 kilometres west of Macetown.
