In personal correspondence at my request between Eric (Xueming) Yang, Ph.D., P.Geo.Manitoba Geological Survey and John Biczok (Dec.11 2016) Dr. Yang indicated that " the green mineral (found at this locality) is a species of scapolite analysed by SEM at the University of Manitoba"
Regarding the garnets at this locality Dr. Yang wrote: "I did not do further analysis on garnet material using electronic probe. However, the optical property of the garnet observed in a thin section indicates that it is likely andradite to grossular... epidote is present in the rock"
Based on this "Spessartine" as a mineral from here should likely be dropped.
