A reported Au mine located in T18N, R7E, SBM, in the sink of the Amargosa River.

NOTE: The only Amargosa Mine listed in the USGS MRDS database is located near Acme, further N along the Amargosa River. It is stated to be only a talc mine. The description of the location provided for this mine is very vague. It is nowhere near the "sink" of the Amargosa River, although it may be along the river in the vicinity of these hills. The only sections of T18N, R7E, SBM, that may be involved are sections 5, 6 & 7, in the NW corner of the township. The geographic coordinates presented here are approximate in sec. 6, near the Amargosa River, along the western margin of the Salt Spring Hills.
