Calcite deposit worked in the 1950s/1960s before being abandoned. The remains of the large flooded open pit, crane, a powder magazine and a sealed shaft could be seen in 2001.

Based on the pit dimensions of 61x30x24m, a tonnage of ~120,000 of calcite was extracted.
