Baryte-fluorite mine exploited in the period 1955-1984 in the area of Monte Murvonis-Monte Acqua, west of Riu Luvinas. Around 1870, a prospecting permit named Monte Murvonis already existed in the area for Pb-Zn ores.
Three main adit with numerous winzes were excavated. Of the five mineralised veins outcropping in the area, embedded in Cambrian limestone, only the 3-4m-thick N-S trending one was exploited.
In the mine were frequent large crevasses, which yielded numerous nice specimens of violet cubic fluorite.
The mine is the type locality for sabelliite (Olmi et al., 1995 a, b), which appears as emerald-green transparent tabular crystals, sometimes forming spherical aggregates, perched on quartz. Associated minerals are theisite, malachite, azurite, and tetrahedrite (from which it probably originated due to supergene processes).
Furthermore, the metamorphic rocks outcropping in the mining area along Riu Luinas contain biotite, muscovite, plagioclase, quartz, and tourmaline.
