A copper and pyrite mine with bedded compact massive sulphide ore of the "kieslager" type, hosted in schists of the Sambagawa metamorphic belt. 1958 production was 3,731 tons Cu from ore averaging 2.3% Cu (Geological Survey of Japan, 1960). Closed in 1979 after having produced 5.6 million tons crude ore at 1.5% Cu.
