Starý vrch, Radejčín


Hill Starý vrch (Alter Berg) is a hill 395 m above sea level, lying west from the railway station Radejčín. In the very early 20th century (from 1904 to 1907) a quarry was operated on the hill for sodalitic tephrite. In 1905, the quarry was the second place in the world from which zeophyllite was identified (Cornu 1905, Zimmermann 1905). Nowadays the locality is no more productive (Radoň 2009).
