Mine Aurora, Moosch, Vallée de la Thur (Vallée de Thann), Haut-Rhin, Alsace, France

Quartz-carbonate veins with polymetallic mineralisation, hosted by brecciated clay schists and greywackes of the Oderen series (lower Visé group). From the 15th to the mid 17th century, the veins were worked for galena and argentian tetrahedrite. In 1891, the mine was reopened by the 'Gewerkschaft Neue Kirche' company, but closed again in 1908, when the venture turned out to be un profitable.
Located SW of Moosch.
