Several periods of mining have been carried out on this property, starting in 1846 and continuing until as late as 1875. There is a newspaper report in 1899 that a syndicate was about to re-open the mine although there appears no further evidence of this other than a single line entry Summary Card 299, which also states that a small amount of work was done here in 1966.
