Locality type:
Köppen climate type:

A valley located in the western Pinto Mountains.

The xenotime deposits of the Music Valley area are situated within the Pinto Gneiss of probable Precambrian age. Biotite-rich zones in the gneiss can contain abundant orange xenotime grains, commonly forming 10–15 percent of the biotite zones and locally comprising about 35 percent xenotime.
