On the NE slope minerals are mainly found in Alpine clefts in two-mica leucocratic gneiss of the Monte Leone nappe.

Large crystals of actinolite and magnesite embedded in talc schist are found at the contact between antigorite schists and gneiss at the base of the NE slope. An epidote-rich basic intercalation is present on the SE slope.
