Vegusdal is a tiny little parish in the north of the Birkenes municipality, close to the borders of the Froland and Evje og Hornnes municipalities.
Vegusdal belongs to the Birkenes municipality, but was an independant municipality from 1877 til 1967.
Mining of feldspar occurred at a few places, but cannot have been of great importance.
Otherwise the area is covered by forest, and forestry is contributing to the local economy.
