Sierra located northwest of the province of Cordoba, consisting of a metamorphic rock alignment of direction, NW-SE and predominantly Precambrian age.

Many sites are in it, emphasizing those related to pegmatite bodies, some of them complex mineralogy, which were exploited even for the uranium content.
