"Name: Little Gorge."
"Mineral: Titanium."
"Location: On sea cliffs at Little Gorge, 3 1/2 miles SW of Nornamville."
"Geology: Country Rock. Micaceous schist, felspathized quartz. Rutile is associated with pegmatite."
"Workings: Small opening on sea cliff, 2 major openings face the Gorge, the western one of which is 29ft long."
"Production: Sec.219 30 tons rock brocken, 14 bags rutile hand picked.
40 tons rock brocken, 9 bags rutile hand picked.
Estimated total 70 tons produced 2 tons high grade rutile."
"History: Rutile was discovered on Sections 79, 218/9 by A.J. Putland and S. Chenowith in 1918. A private agreement was made by them with the owner for the right to prospect for minerals in the area. The claim was cancelled a few years later. In 1923 G. Tellefsen did some more prospecting on M.C. 11773 on Section 79. J.C. bell on M.C 13352 did further prospecting in 1931. In 1934 M.C. 14485 was taken up by Allchurch and Clarke on Sections 79 and 219 and further prospecting and testing was carried out. Lademan and Standley on M.C. 2157 carried out some prospecting for a few months on sections 79, 218 and 219."

Pegmatite outcrops with rutile and ilmenite are located just south of Normanville, basically on the beach front.
The are many varying reports of most 'pegmatite' associated minerals in this area.
There seem to be some reports of magnetite in this area, although no formal report or reference exists.
