Sandstone-tpye uranium deposit, hosted in pyroclastic sediments within a downfaulted mesozoic-Tertiary basin. The deposit was discovered in 1955 and has been mined during the 1960s, but workings were suspended in the early 1970s due to decreasing ore grades.
