Hudeshope Head Mine, located 28 km (17½ miles) SE of the town of Alston, was a lead mine opened c.1850 by the London Lead Company to work Manorgill North Vein from the Hudeshope Level. Output from Hudeshope Head was included in the Lodgesike/Manorgill mines. In the 1900s the mine was worked for lead ore by Teesdale Lead & Zinc Mines Ltd.

Purple fluorite, with minor quartz, dominate the mineralisation, but specimens are rarely seen today.

The mine is private property on private land (Raby Estate) and therefore is not accessible to the general public.

The map location is for the adit entrance to Hudeshope Head Mine.
