One of two acidic intrusions (quartz syenite) in the Makhtesh Ramon area, an erosional cirque in the Central Negev (Bentor, 1952).

Metallic mineralization within a hydrothermally altered quartz syenite stock and in the intruded Triassic limestones.
Enrichment in rare earth minerals is attributed to hydrothermal alteration at relatively high temperatures (>350°).
