Exploitation of Zn-Pb-Ag ores in the Śląsko-Kraków region has been carried out for over 800 years. Traces of old ore mining remained, among others in a little-known area located on N and NW from Krzeszowice. Numerous gliders, tunnels and heaps have been preserved there. The area of Flights, Ostrężnica and Galman is particularly interesting, where from 1912 a large underground mine "Katarzyna" functioned.
