Description: Byramjee R.and Meindre M.(1956)publish the following normalized amphibole composition: (Na0.394K0.243)0.637(Na1.242Ca0.758)2.00(Mg4.139Mn0.311Fe0.068Al0.471Ti0.010)5.00(Si7.894Al0.106)O22((OH)2. Their data does not give a Fe3+/(Fe3+ + Fe2+) ratio, but charge balance calculations give sufficient Fe3+ for the amphibole to fall within the katophorite range as defined by Hawthorne et al. (2012)
