A small sapphire locality about 100km south of Mt Garnet. The sapphires are weathering directly from Tertiary basaltic vent.

Located south of the Undara Volcanic National Park (which is located in Etheridge Shire).

The lava plains locality is closer to the Kinrara National Park located in Tablelands Region off the Kennedy Developmental Road.
